Josh used to suck his fingers and thumb so I gave him the dummy. The way I see it is that it'l be easier to get rid of the dummy then to stop him from sucking his thumb. Also its been a Godsend for calming him, he just had his 8 week injections today and his dummy settled him almost straight away.

Rubbing a very small amount of vaseline on the bridge of his nose, keep rubbing gently until it warm, this helps loosen the 'snot'. Also steam helps, try sitting with him for a few minutes in the bathroom after running a hot bath.

Josh was 9 lb 12oz when born and at 7 weeks he weighed 12 lb 5 oz. He was breast fed for the first few weeks but I had to give up as it didn't work out with him being in and out of hospital for the first three/four weeks so he's been bottle fed since around 3 weeks.

Josh has had colic since he was a few weeks old so I can sympathise. Its horrible seeing them in so much pain. :hug: Gripe water for me has been fantastic (the infacol didn't work), it usually settles him quickly but I have to walk around with him for a while to settle him after he takes it...

I had mastitis...my symptoms were...my breast was very hot, very sore and had a hard lump in the area that was hot and sore. I actually felt like I had the flu...hot and cold....sweating buckets....feeling very low, it was awful, I was in tears with how bad I felt. Definatley book an appointment...

Mine was 1/680 but I was 34 and I was classed as low risk at that. I've gone on to have a healthy baby boy. :hug:

If its a very sore sounding cough then I would take him to get checked out just in case its broncialitis. Also check his breaths per minute if they are over sixty then def get him checked. I'm just wary because my wee boys been in hospital with broncilatitis and RSV which is very common during...

I find that Josh has the odd night like this and the only thing that will help is gripe water. Hope he gets used to his new milk soon.

Josh has dry skin and I've found olive oil to be the best. I've got the Johnstons oil with camomile and one with aloe vera but I find they tend to sit on his skin more, the only benefit over the olive oil is that they leave him smelling nice so I do use them occasionally. I also don't use and...

My little one was born with a stork mark on his forehead, I'd never heard of them before but both my health visitor and midwife have said it should go when he's around 4 or 5 years old.
