I know this is an old post... but just had to post. Arthur was on my list for DS2. But I decided against it when he was born as I just don't like Art/Artie. We're in Australia and EVERYONE gets nicknamed!!! We ended up going with Percy. I wasn't sure at first but LOVE it now. Old names are...
I was GBS positive and they gave me the antibiotics through a canula in my hand every 4 hours - it doesn't take long - the first dose was bigger and the second dose was really quick to administer... 1 min or so
I wanted to be mobile this labour as I was stuck on the bed with my first baby. I...
Well - I've finally got around to posting my lovely birth!
Woke up on Tuesday morning (31st) and did my usual routine... getting DS up, we both had breakfast... all going well... then I was just putting on a nappy wash. I went to stand up and then... uh-oh... felt liquid trickling down. It...
Thank you all... we're all very happy!
I felt so empowered after labour! Wishing you all labours that smooth. Does make me a bit scared to do it again - imagine it even quicker than that!!
Pam - The idea was to be given antibiotics every 4 hours through a canula. Its nothing to worry...
Well - I've queue jumped a bit!!! But our little boy Percy Wolfgang arrived on 31st August at 5:55pm.
Waters broke at 8:30am... no contractions.
Was GBS positive so they wanted to induce me...
induced at 4pm... 1st contraction 5pm... 55 minutes later I had a baby boy!!!! Wow that was...
I'm going slightly mad too... I've been kind of semi-expecting bub for the last 2 weeks already - I had DS at 35 weeks!!!
This bubba seems quite happy in there! I'm bound to go over with this one... ahhhhh that is going to feel like a long wait from 35 weeks to 40+ weeks
I want to...
Great bump!!
Wow can't believe they said they don't want to see you!!!
In Australia they are seeing me once a week from 37... it's kind of difficult dragging DS to the hospital and waiting for about 1.5hours each time!!!! :P He gets very bored!!
Hi all
Just had an Ob appointment - shheeeesh I prefer the midwives! The docs can be so rude and abrupt!!!! Anyways - she said that the baby is 3/5 ceph. Well I know the ceph bit means bub is head down... I know that as there is a big bottom that likes to poke out up the top of my belly :D...
I had terrible sciatica when I was PG with DS1. I found leaning forward over things used to take the pressure off the nerve...
I was told it would go away as soon as bub was born (it didn't... but fear not... I had a freaky lump that was squashing my spinal cord... so actually nothing to do...
I've been sleepless for a few weeks now - not through being uncomfy. I wake up in the middle of the night (usually for a pee!!!) and then I lie there all wide awake. I try not to get up because (wishful thinking) I think I might fall asleep again... and its sooooo hard entertaining my toddler...
