Who did actually wait until 6 months to start weaning?

Ophelia has watched us eat from about 4months old, at 5months she would scream at me when I was eating and she wasn't given any, so I introduced a taste of half a baby jar a day, and pieces of fruit, and she loves it, but she's a mad chewer, she will chew ANYTHING! I really hate weaning with a...

I am unable to get anything off expressing and so if I introduce a bottle it will be formula, and I was wondering how BF'ing Mum's who introduced a bottle, did this with their LO's? Ophelia will be 6months on the 24th. She weighs about 13lb, we're having her weighed tomz, she was small at 5lb...

    Teething question

All babies teeth come through at different times, Isaac got his top 2 middle, then bottom 2 middle, then the 2 either side of top, then bottom, then the middle back ones top, then bottom, he has 12 teeth to date. I think teething can be worse for some babies/toddlers, Isaac can get very very...

    Eczema - your remedies please

A bit late but I've been busy  Isaac had dry skin issues and we found Porridge Oats run under the bath water through a Muslin, creates a natural, milky soluyion which will soothe and help his skin, its all natural too, very best wishes

    Too old fashioned?

We call Ophelia 'Phe Phe' (sounds like fee fee/fi fi) a lot, and always write it that way too, just to be awkward, plus it's also easier for Isaac to pronounce, although he sometimes calls her Bee Bee :)

    Bedtime feeding nightmare

Focus on the fact he sleeps through and enjoy that   he is still little, and eventually he will drop that 45min later feed I'm sure  He may even just be wanting reassurence, comfort, and the feed you take is something he maybe doesn't necessarily need, but personally I think...

    BFing second time round

Isaac was breast and formula fed from week1, but Ophelia is still just breast and I've had no problems, nor did I with Isaac, I am sure you will be fine, your boobies will remember and your baby will be as smart as Millie so will get themselves feeding fine soon I'm sure

Vote: how painful was your labour

I've not voted, its too hard to say, but personally I found the contractions, the drug free ones, very manageable, it was the pushing stage I found 'painful', though I do think half of that was fear  With Isaac I was induced with an oxytocin drip and it went terribly painful whereas I was...

    Anyone tried hypnobirthing?

Thanks trixipaws lol With Isaac I did dilate well without any 'pain', I do believe reading Marie Mongan's book helped greatly, as did the Rainbow CD from the Hypnobirthing classes. The greatest thing hypnobirthing does is it teaches you how your uterus works, how to mentally understand it with...

    multigravidas (?)

Isaac was a dream pregnancy, I'd carry him over and over :D Ophelia wasn't, sickness and fatigue :( but I'd labour and give birth to her every day :D So for me, different symptoms meant different sexes
