I had a spontaneous miscarriage with twins at 7w3d on 4/3/21. I had an ultrasound 2 days later that confirmed no gestational sacs, then again 3 days after that which once again showed no gestational sacs. My quant at the time of my miscarriage was 178,000. I bled heavy for one week then light for the next 2 weeks, nothing this past week. This morning I took a pregnancy test figuring it’d be negative by now and it’s positive! Is this a new pregnancy or residual from the miscarriage? I am 35 days post miscarriage today. I can’t get in to my ob/gyn for another 5 days and I’m going crazy!

I don't want to burst your bubble and truly hope that it's a new pregnancy but it take a long time before you HCG goes down if your levels were that high.
My doctor had said that it takes about as long as the pregnancy was far. And she was right. It took 11 weeks for me to get to 0 again while I was 12 weeks pregnant when we found out I had a MMC. It also depends if you had passed it naturally or with a D&C.

Have your HCG levels checked at 6 weeks post MC to see how low your levels are hun.

I'm so sorry for your loss, you will catch again quickly but be sure to DTD earlier since I OV'ed on CD11 after AF! Ok not everyone has the same experience but start early!x

That’s what I am afraid of..it’s rough, you miscarry and then it’s like that’s it, no follow up labs. I just assumed because the ultrasounds showed no sacs that the HCG would drop faster than this

I don’t want to be negative either but I’ve been miscarrying a pregnancy that won’t fully come away for over 3 weeks now (due in to get the vacuum)
My levels were only 553 and they’ve still not went down! I had a heavy bleed too but still tissue in there 3 weeks later and that’s keeping me in the 500s!
Exact same thing happened with my last miscarriage, that stayed in the 700s!
Could be that it’s taking a while to go down or there’s leftover tissue.
I think you need to get bloods and repeats done to find out what’s going on! Xxx
