Does anyone know of anyone who got the covid vaccine while pregnant? Idk what to do in 13 weeks and my docs aren’t giving me a clear answer kinda just do what You think is best which doesn’t help me decide at all. Just curious if anyone knows someone or they personal got the vaccine pregnant and how it went

I know a lot of women who got the vaccine while pregnant and said it went well. My OB is recommending it currently, it wasn’t readily available for me when I was pregnant but I think personally I would’ve waited to give birth first. I did get vaccinated after I gave birth and I’m happy I did, but I was hesitant about doing it while pregnant just because it’s so new and there wasn’t much research on the vaccine in pregnant women. Do what you feel is right for you!

Hey I was pretty hesitant too. My midwives were reassuring but ultimately supportive and said it was my decision and recommended to get vaccinated after birth if that was my preference. Haven't done so yet as only gave birth Wednesday.

I had my regular flu and pertussis vaccines as recommended but I just feel it was the best for my own peace of mind to wait for the covid one. Do what is best for you in your circumstances, risk levels, ability to keep yourself shielded and safe.

Yeah I agree with both you! I’m not anti bad ir anything like that but I also haven’t had the flu shot in over 10 years so I was scared that will make me pretty sick if I get it. I think I’m getting it anyways because I feel it will be safest for my baby when it’s born. But that has been around for awhile the covid vaccine is so new it’s scary for me to get while carrying. I did have covid abut a month ago so I know I’m immune for right now at least. I haven’t heard anything negative but just the chance of ale thing scares me such a hard decision. Thanks for the advice!

I had my 2nd vaccine whilst pregnant as I didn’t know I was pregnant at the time. I’m not sure if I’d of had it if I’d of known.. baby isn’t here yet due 27/12 but so far touch wood all has been ok.

Two of the 5 doctors I talked to did recommend getting it and said that it would be better for the baby once it is born with the antibodies. I’ve also asked on a few different chats the same questions and some moms have gotten and had perfectly healthy babies. I am leaning more towards getting it. Just sounds safer to pass immunity on to the baby still deciding on the right decision

It is a hard one because I think if anything where to happen you would inevitably blame yourself.. I don’t think there’s any evidence to say that it affects your growing baby should you have it, it’s just not many pregnant women have had it.

My mum, partner and little girl all got Covid a few months ago and they were all really ill with it and it lasted for weeks. I’d had both my jabs but only had a sore throat on and off for a week, so was glad I’d had it in that sense as could of been a lot worse and there’s not much they can give you in pregnancy to help! Although my mum was double vaccinated with the same vaccine at the same time as me and it knocked her for 10!

just got to do what you thinks right! The unknown is just daunting! Xxx

I have had my first and second whilst being pregnant. But I was due to go abroad so that’s my main reason for getting it done. My midwife didn’t even mention getting the vaccine!
I had horrendous pain In my arm after the second for days and still have trouble now but that’s nothing to do with being pregnant. X

I got my vaccine in May and June I believe, was pregnant by mid-September. My only issue is that, at 9.5 weeks, I’m feeling such a feverish feeling all over my body, every time I eat and all day long. It sometimes feels centered in my mid-section and like my immune system is kicking in, somehow. Has anyone else noticed this kind of symptom? It’s different from my nausea due to “morning sickness.” It’s also not fatigue, because I feel quite energized but also like I need to stay snuggled under my covers most of the day (I’m blessed to work from home).

Hi everyone. I am in 22 weeks and just recovered from Covid. lost my smell and taste, had a sore throat and running nose that is all. I am feeling good now, but I am worried about baby if everything is ok with her. Because the vaccines are new I was thinking to do it after I will give birth. Has anyone had this disease during second trimester? is all good with your baby? Did you make extra blood test or scan to check your baby after Covid? I have an appointment with midwife on Friday, I will ask her as well.
