Where I go you have a triage section when you arrive - where they check how advanced you are then you to to the labour ward and afterwards if needed to stay in you go to a seperate ward by the childrens ward or you go to the post-natal ward which is right near the labour ward.
When I was pg with my ds we made a rule we would spend Xmas at home so lo could play with all the presents they wanted but family were welcome to come over and see us just we weren't driving around seeing everyone! I was debating inviting everyone over for Xmas dinner but I'm going to wait till...
My lo was a nightmare so ended up with a seperate bottle for water/squash he just use to tip the free flow ones!! He now will drink from anything and doesn't have bottles (since 19 mths) through his own choice not mine!he has a tt sipper cup an he now likes trying to drink from a cup with no lid...
I was going to say add a bit more liquid when blending beef! My lo used to live his blended roast dinners!he loves them now at 21 mths!! Obviously cut up now though! I'd definately say about 5-6 hours and it should be really tender and fall apart almost!!
I have about 10 packs of size 1's and 3 packs of size 2's so far!!! I've also got a pack of micro nappies as my ds had a tiny bum that was lost in size 1 nappies! I will get more size 2's just been getting the 1's with vouchers I've had!! I've also got loads of aldi nappies they are fantastic...
My lo loved the carrot puffs!!!! I found sweet potato, broccoli, cauliflower easier than carrot to begin with as it was softer. I found bread (not toast) took longer as it seemed to stick to he roof of lo's mouth.
My son will be 22 mths and so far we have got him a best big brother teddy from mothercare an are looking to get him a little toy from the baby. Again we dont know what but only something small!

I started mine at 30ish weeks just got to pack oh a spare change of clothes but might leave that as my spare bits bag in his car (spare pj's for me more nappies etc) u think I'm done except camera and phone!
Aldi nappies are fantastic I use them with my toddler. I got bought a load of johnsons products when pg with my ds and have loads left!!although I did use asdas own liquid talc and it was brilliant but never actually used anything else on my ds! I've been the same with washing powder as my skin...
I worry about this and after we found out I had 4 different friends tell me they knew people had the opposite of what they'd been told and both ways too!!!
I've had he dizzy sicky feeling a few times my midwife put it down to my iron levels being low!as its usually when I've been doing something around the house. So I just pace myself now and try not to do too much!
