    Off food...teething?

Leorah loves her food but the last couple of days she has just played with it or thrown it around and asked for breastmilk. The only things she has eaten are pasta, bananas and pears and she will normally eat anything. She also has been waking screaming like she's in pain and has been getting...

    6 months and napping

I have been looking at the Baby Whisperer site and their seems to be a general view that around 6 months old babies start to take regular naps of 1½ hours twice a day!! They say with rolling, sitting up, feeding, trying to crawl etc that they get tired easier and daytime sleep tends to sort...

Breast feeding and ever getting bigger boobs!!!

Has anyone else found their boobs are getting bigger the longer they breastfeed? I've always had big boobs but this is ridiculous and depressing :( I was looking at my pre pregnancy bras yesterday and they look tiny (and at a 32F they certainly aren't). I am wearing a 34G but it seems to be...

    Baby Led Weaning

I'm so proud of Leorah she has taken to feeding herself so well and has tried lots of different things that we have been eating as a family. Most of it is thoroughly chewed and sucked and then spat out but her nappies have evidence that quite a lot is going down too! It is just to experience...

What a difference a week makes!!!

I made a decision to turn the TV of in the house until Leorah is in bed as at 5½ months I realised she would just watch TV even when I called her  Now its only the occassional Baby Einstein! Anyway I don't know if its related but in the last week she has been playing much more with her...

    Magic-alls reusable nappies

I keep forgetting to say these nappies are fantastic! In my opinion they are as absorbant as a disposable (though I only use them for daytime) do not leak, look cute and are slim fitting! The perfect choice fopr those like me that would like covenience but also want to move over to cloth. I am...

    A huge thanks xx

To all of you ladies with your tips for teething. This time around Leorah has handled it so much better (probably because I have!) The calprofen has been fantastic, she loves the bickie pegs and really, really loves the frozen breastmilk :D I think it is a bit easier for her now as she can get...

How much easier is it all with this nice weather??

Wow, Leorah is teething and still the days are so much easier with the warmth and sunshine. Now instead of battling naps I wheel her outside in her pushchair and in front of a tree that has lots of birds visiting and she watches until she falls asleep! We also go for long walks so she isn't...

    Oh no, not again!!

Poor Leorah is reactting to something in my diet again :( I have been so careful not to eat anything with milk/soy/nuts that I am worried she is developing a new intolerance so I am back on the elimination diet eating just rice, turkey and courgettes again  I have had a sneaky...

    Crazy dog behavior

I don't know if anyone knows about about canine behaviour but my german shepherd drives us all mad when in the car! She looks out for and starts to bark hysterically at the red and white chevron signs on the motorway slipways :wall: We used to think maybe they scared her but now realise she...

Firsty sorry, I feel all I do is moan  Leorah is such a handful at the mo'! I was wondering if I am imagining it and she is like all the other 5 month olds but my DH has experienced how high maintenance she is this weekend too!!! All her toys bore her after a few minutes. My brother...

    What's all this about??????????

Since Xmas Leorah has had one thing after another - injections, teething, illness etc. Well she is still not right (unfortunately I have discovered she has a nut protein intolerance to add to the milk and soy so has a bad stomach) but the last two days she's hasn't wanted to feed or sleep at all...

Leorah did 3 new things in one day!!

I'm so proud of my little girl, even though she's ill she managed to roll right over onto her tummy (she did scream afterwards as she only usually rolls on her side  ). She also managed to put her dummy in her mouth the right way two times and I thought I'd try a bit of cup training so put...
