    Self settling

I used to have to stand by my lo's cot stroking his face until he dropped off. It would sometimes take 45 minutes to get him into a deep enough sleep for me to leave the room. One night I decided to give him a muslin to rub against his face, I left the room straight away and he dropped off to...

Congratulations! We were in TTC together when I fell pregnant with my LO and I do pop in here to see how you and Louise are getting on even if I don't post. My lines weren't that strong on my cheapies when I got my BFP! Here's to a healthy and happy 9 months. xxx

    at what age ?

I moved my LO at about 4 and a half months. Ideally I would have kept him in his crib until 6 months as the cot wouldnt fit in our bedroom, but he was too big for his crib. We all slept better when he moved into the cot, but your LO is still very young. Have you tried swaddling to see if that...

1 year old milk feeds - should he still be drinking it from a bottle?

I know I need to swap onto a beaker, but don't want to miss my cuddles with LO as milk time is the only time he'll give me a cuddle!!

1 year old milk feeds - should he still be drinking it from a bottle?

My hv said that from 1 they should be having milk from beakers rather than bottles. I'm just about to make the switch.

How do u know when to drop a milk feed?

My lo dropped 2 bottles within a week Or 2 of each other at around 9 months. The first to go was the lunch time bottle and the second was the bedtime bottle. He would either bat away the bottle when I offered it or only take an ounce then not want any more. He now has a bottle in the morning...

    Why the hell

100% agree with you. I am desperate for some 'me' time. Even though I work 2 days a week, I feel as though I never get a break as the next 5 days are spent being mummy as my OH is never home on weekends. I can count on one hand the number of times I have been out with friends in a year. The...

    Shyness

My LO seems to be a bit shy on occasion. Last weekend a man said hello to him in a shop whilst I was holding him, and LO buried his face into my neck and nearly started crying. However, during the week we were in the co-op and LO was in his buggy and a different bloke started talking to him and...

    Why the hell

I work 2 days a week because I have to. I have to work to be able to afford to do nice things on the days I am with my LO. Do I wish I could be a SAHM, yes of course I do but needs must. My LO is looked after by his granny and daddy on the days I work so I know he is well looked after and cared...

    Bedtime help!

I used to spend ages stroking my LOs face to get him off to sleep once we had put him down for the night. Then one day I gave him a muslin cloth to hold when I put him down after his bath and he dropped off straight away. He likes to stroke it against his face as he's dropping off to sleep. I...

Should I give up with the milk??

My LO dropped his bedtime bottle at about 9 and a half months. He has a bottle in the morning and one at about 4pm then no more milk. We stopped giving his bedtime bottle to him when he would only drink a little and then push the bottle away. As long as your LO is drinking plenty of water/ juice...

    Cupboard Locks

I got some from toys r us. They are ones with sticky pads. To be honest they aren't great and one has already come unstuck! In the end I got a stair gate to keep him out of the kitchen.

    4 month sleep regression

I don't think my lo went through it either. I don't remember having any more trouble getting him off to sleep or him waking more than normal at around 4 months.

Is it a boy thing? Sleep related :)

My lo is 1, he has his last bottle 8ozs at 4pm, goes to bed at 7 and sleeps until between 6 and 7am. He only started sleeping through at 7 months and dropped his bedtime bottle at 10 months. A friend of mine has a little girl and she is the same age as my lo and she only just started sleeping...

    just curious

Every baby is different hun, and I can't remember what my LO was on at that age but if you think she's still hungry try upping the bottles to 4ozs. She'll only take what she needs so if she doesn't want it she won't have it. x
