Yeah I hate it too especially when she is now 'old enough to know better' according to some looks and comments :) I stopped going places for a while when I knew that she would be too tired because it just made it easier to deal with. Even now I make sure we are home well before bedtime/naptimes...
I've been doing this for a while and it works really well for us. She doesn't have massive tantrums but the usual things like you all described when you have to take something off them etc or my main one is when I won't pick her up and she starts crying and won't stop. Hoovering too :wall: But...
We put her in a travel cot instead (one with mesh sides). DIdn't wake herself up when she rolled around. Nothing else helped, especially as she used the bars on the cot to 'walk' her way around the bed :) She is still in it now at 17 months.
Hi Jen,
He's probably just figured out it is quicker to crawl especially if it is towards something further away. Maybe he will just wander between things nearby until he feels 'good enough' to go for the things further away. I guess the good thing is it saves you from having to catch him...
Yes we have one. It was good at the beginning when introducing a cup. As soon as they get the idea of holding the cup and tipping it up themselves then you can't really use it that well because obviously the water comes out much more easily.
But I like it.
We have the same thing. She has breakfast at around 6-7am and when it gets to about 10-11am she is ready for lunch. If I give her a snack she gets cranky after about 10 minutes because she is hungry. Sometimes we have lunch at 10.30 or 11am :)
That kind of fills her up for the rest of the day...
Hi Nikki,
Sounds similar, althought I don't know oz only ml :) In the morning she has about 100 ml and then porridge after. She would probably drink more though. SHe really likes it in the morning. And then in the evening one before bed, about 200ml. Sometimes she has a bit in the day time if...
A very naughty little girl! She did this after I told her she wasn't allowed to watch Alexandra Burke winning X Factor any more... she loves the song and copying her crying
This drives me mad...the phone thing. If ANYONE'S phone rings she goes crazy following them going hi hi hi HI HI HI HI HIIIIIIIIIIIIII HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII until she gets it and then talks to the person or doesn't get given it and then cries. The diva - ness (not sure how to spell that) is...
It's SO cute when they do that! especially when they start saying 'hi' and it's just a spoon or something :)
Had to confiscate this toy today... she wanted to play on the computer :wall:
Mobile phones. she is crazy about them. she can be crying her head off but if she sees a phone she stops and goes and gets it. she has already sent text messages by mistake, saved numbers to the phone, and called the UK from Switzerland :rotfl:
Hi Lou,
Hope you're ok. I'd get off the cereal thing too. It was probably a good kick start but maybe now you need something that will make you able to eat and not be afraid of putting on weight again. I know you know all that, just wanted to say hi and hope you can find something that works out...
Hi,
sorry you are having a tough time. It takes ages to figure everything out and then as soon as you do, they change.
I was wondering about your first part of the day. My LO also gets up around 5am :wall: You have my sympathy.
Even though he gets up at 5am he doesn't sleep again...
