    Nappies letting me down

We have the same problem so would love to know a solution but think we just have super poopers! R's poops always blast up his back, sometimes they come up the front too and out the legs. We've tried tying them tight as possible and not mimimal movement/avoiding squishing the nappy after he's...

How many ounces does your LO drink?

Ryan is 14 weeks (weighed 16lb 4oz at 13wks) and takes 6 - 7oz's every 3 hours between 7am and 7pm (5 a day), and 2-3 oz's when he wakes in the night (usually just once a night). Thinking it might make him ditch the 4am bottle, I tried him with the hungry baby milk in his last bottle before...

How long did you have to wait?

Pessary gel inserted at 6am, getting very uncomfortable by 11am, 5cm dilated and in labour suite just after 1pm, fully dilated by 6.30pm when waters were broken, one hour of pushing later baby arrived at 7.30pm. So 13 and a half hours start to finish for me!

    Induction help please!!

I was given my first pessary at 6am and kept in to be monitored every couple of hours. They would have given me another 6 hours later but I was in full blown labour by then  I think it's pretty standard to keep you in and monitor, particularly as you are being induced early. I've heard...

    Whilst giving birth...

I had my nighty on too. It's something I worried about too but you really don't give a hoot about who's looking at what once your in labour!

Post birth thread... [May upset some]

Like sarafet, my bad memories are from after delivery. Labour was incredibly painful but so so worth it when little one appeared! I was induced at 6am in the morning, about 5cm dilated and well and truely contracting by 12noon, and up in labour suite on gas and air just after 1pm. My blood...

    Overdue Babies

Ryan was born at 10 days overdue and was absolutely perfect, not at all squashed or wrinkly, and no dry skin or vernix. I didn't have my waters broken until I was fully dilated though which I thought maybe had something to do with how clean and healthy he looked when he came out!

    Is this teething?

Ryan started the fist chewing and near constant drooling at 9/10 weeks too. He's fine some days but others he's niggly, chews on the bottle instead of feeding, has flushed cheeks and his tops are soaking from the amount of dribbling he's done! I think it must be his teeth bothering him a bit...

    So Angry!!!!

I found this support terrible too. At the Parentcraft classes which were held in the hospital by a midwife from the hospital they went on and on about breastfeeding and about the help and support the midwive's will give you, but in reality the midwive's on the ward don't have time and you're...

    Baby Massage

They run the five week free block of courses here too. I took Ry along to the first session last week and he loved it - especially getting his feet massaged! Was a lovely bonding session with little one too so I try and do it after his bath now if he's in the mood. It's grapeseed oil they...

    clitoral pain

Mine felt very bruised in the weeks after delivery, especially if I was standing for a while it felt like a huge weight was pressing down on it. It still does hurt a bit from time to time now (10 weeks later!) but has definitely improved. Hope it eases for you soon hun  S x
