I'm still breastfeeding and have just started my first period in the last couple of days.

I just get anything I can off with some toilet paper and flush, and then rinse quickly in the bathroom sink, then it goes in the wash and is sunned out if necessary.

I usually do a mixed load that includes the nappies so use the normal amount of detergent (not noticed any absorbancy issues so far) and a scoop of Miofresh :)
