When we had the 20 week scan we didn't find out the baby's sex. Now i feel jealous of all you girls who know what you're having :? When i was at the midwife's last week she listened to the heartbeat and reckoned she knew what it is (even though she did admit she sometimes gets it wrong). It...
I have bought myself a lovely Radley bag from Ebay. It's an overnight bag so i'm going to use it to take to hospital. I might have to take another bag as well as it might not hold everything. I'm so scared about going to hospital and actually having the baby so i thought i'd at least enjoy...
Well I'm nearly 25 weeks now and just starting to find that my bump is in the way. I keep openning doors into it or wheeling my office chair into my desk and bashing into the desk. Also, things like walking the dogs are getting a bit tougher. I was out for a walk this morning and walking up the...
Yesterday we went to Ikea and bought the nursery furniture. We got a wardrobe, drawers with changing table on top and a toy box. OH is working today but hopefully we will assemble it this evening. So excited! :cheer:
I was wondering what (if any) classes you're planning on going to before the big day. My local midwives do 'preparation classes', which are a series of four sessions held once a week for a month. The sessions cover:
- The last weeks of pregnancy
- Labour and birth
- Mother, baby and family (inc...
I'm so hungry all the time. I just can't stop eating. I don't know if this hunger is normal or if it's in my head as i am 'eating for two'!
I've started putting on weight and growing at quite a pace now and i know it's perfectly normal to be getting a belly but i am concerned that i still have...
It's such cold miserable weather out there. We had some snow earlier but it's all melted and is just mush now. I'm so glad to be having a summer baby :cheer: Will be lovely to spend maternity leave going for nice walks on the beach and playing in the garden.
So congrats to all of us here in...
... then ask me anything! I've now got The Baby Whisperer book. I admit that currently i know nothing about babies and am quite scared at how clueless i am. I'm hoping that this book will hold all the answers
I have started my shopping now. I bought my pram and car seat yesterday. Next week (when Southampton Ikea opens!) i'm buying the nursery furniture. This week I'm picking up the cot from a colleague who's giving me theirs. Yesterday i bought a really cute baby grow from Blooming Marvelous (in the...
I went shopping yesterday and was hoping to find a nice bag to use when i go to hospital. I didn't find one so will have a look online. Just wondered if anyone has bought a nice new bag and where you got it from.
Thanks
Last night my LO was doing some great kicking and my husband could feel it :cheer: I think i was more excited than him tbh but i've been looking forward to him being able to feel it. Usually the kicks i feel are quite gentle so something must have got him/her excited last night! I guess as the...
My husband has beet fretting about childcare as one of his work colleagues has already booked his unborn baby into nursery for January 2010  I can't believe you have to do it so far in advance but thought i'd mention it in case any other first timers hadn't thought to look into it so...
Hi there fellow doggie lovers
I have two lovely dogs and usually walk them twice a day, totalling between an hour and two hours. I just wondered how you're all finding dog walking these days? I walked about 4 or 5 miles today and was shattered. It was an easy walk along the beach so not scaling...
Today is the fifth consecutive day that i haven't been sick, which is the longest since week 6! Admittedly i did have to hold it back yesterday as had some retching but nothing came up so it doesn't count  I'm feeling great and have a skip in my step :cheer:
I really hope it's onwards...
Had my annomoly scan today and everything looks perfect. I was very good and stayed TEAM GREEN. All measurements are fine and I'm at 21 weeks. I will check my ticker but i think that i might have moved forward by a few days so due date will no longer be my birthday! She said that i have an...
Well tomorrow i have my annomoly scan. I'm excited about it but also nervous. I'm looking forward to it being over tbh so i'll know that everything is ok. After that, next time i see baby will be for real :cheer:
Also really excited that after tomorrow i can start my baby shopping. I haven't...
Well I've reached 20 weeks! Yippee. :cheer:
Am feeling certain that my daily sickness will now come to an abrupt end as of tomorrow
I have my annomoly scan on Monday and am feeling nervous about that. Once that's over i will start my shopping and getting properly organised :)
And...
I don't think i'm usually such a wimp but today DH and i were out walking our two dogs. We went through a farm and a massive german shepherd came running at us and went for the dog whose lead i was holding. They had a bit of a fight as my dog was terrified and went into protective mode. I pulled...
I had a dream last night that i had my baby. In my dream labour was an inconvenience but nothing to worry about and no pain. So i'm hoping that this was more than a dream, a premonition perhaps
(I'm so scared really  )
