    Babyfood and childcare

I went to visit the nursery we're going to be using yesterday. It's one for hospital staff, not a cheap one it's very well run. They don't let you bring your own babyfood it comes pre-cooked in a tray the same as hospital food does!! Lewis only has home cooked food and finger food he's too...

    School Uniforms

My 10yr old started a new school in March, got his jumper out the drier today and it's split down the seam from the bottom all the way to the elbow. I asked him how it happened and he doesn't know, I think he would remember anyone pulling it he loves telling me how naughty people are. Would...

A bit of an embarrassing TMI question about my 10 year old...

Well it seems since my 2nd baby has been born my 10 year old has turned into a stroppy teenager overnight. I've noticed lately that he's changing down there (I don't let him run around naked anymore but still bathtime etc). He's also been searching for rude things on the laptop, luckily I have...

A quick lil question for BF mums..

..just out of curiosity. Have you found that as your baby gets bigger he/she isn't windy or colicky (sp?) any more? Lewis has been a bit unsettled when I've been trying to get him to sleep before bed, really grimacing :( I've found that he has had zero wind coming up the last month or so. I...

    Ffs >:-(

Next door but one are having a huge garden party (in this weather). It's so loud there's even someone on a microphone between songs :wall2: I'm not going to knock this is the 1st time but why does it have to be so loud when there's familys all around them?

What can I do about this situation right here....

... I already moved him from the back seat to the front. Drove along trying to prop his head up with one hand but it just flops back down. It's as flat as it can go as well. What's next sticky tape??

    "sock ons"

Anyone tried them and are they worth buying? Lewis kicks one leg all the time like he's trying to start a motorbike, we're forever losing his right sock :wall2:

It's only taken 4 months 1 week and 1 day.

But Lewis has slept through the night 10.30 - 8 :nap::sleepy::love::dancing::yay::pompom: He usually wakes up about 3 times. We went to bed about 1.30am. OH and I wanted a bit of "us" time, and LO was stirring so popped his dummy in. Next thing I know it's 8am. If only I hadn't taken...

    When should I express milk?

This will probably get buried cos it's 1am lol. LO is 4 and a bit months. I finally got a Medula Swing breast pump today. I haven't expressed since LO was in NICU when I was hooked up like a dairy cow which does not make me feel good about the thought of expressing again. I'm wondering when...

    Just had Lewy weighed..

He now weighs 14lb 3 at 17 weeks and has dropped from the 50th percentile to the 25th but this has happened slowly over the last 8 weeks. I charted his weight on the breastfeeding growth chart I have and although it's dipped below the mid-line a bit, it looks like his weight gain is supposed to...

How are other BF mummys dealing with this heat?

I'm finding it quite hard Lewis is very grumpy. With my 1st boy who was formula fed I'd just give him some cooled boiled water then I could see what he was drinking. It's quite hard to get my head around the fact that he's not getting completely de-hydrated because I'm drinking so much myself...

    I've been feeding all night!

L woke up at 3am for his 1st feed of the night and we promptly nodded off as usual. We woke up at 7.45 for school and he was still there! Don't know if he'd been attached all night or he'd re-latched himself but either way mummy has slept

Anyone know about the rules for returning to work?

Hi ladies, So I was planning on returning to work for 16hrs a week in September, technically I'm full time til the day I go back. I specifically made the changeover the date of my return not a specific day, or the date I went on leave and have this in writing. L will be 8 months in September...

    Oh no!

Lewis was playing with a slightly deflated yellow pizza hut balloon having such a fun time so cute! Then I saw him squeezing it with one hand in the same way he squeezes my poor booby, no balloon can withstand that torture so I've had to take it off him unless it pops

    Basket to cot.....

Anyone find moving to the cot helped their lo to wake less frequently? Lewis still sleeps for long periods thank god but still wants a quick feed every 2 hrs and it's getting more frequent. I've got a funny feeling it's cos he's outgrowing the basket. If it were up to me we'd cosleep but OH...

Games ideas for kid's birthday party HELP??

My not so little man will be 10 in less than 2 weeks. We're doing a pizza hut party. Wondered if anyone could think of any ways to keep the kids entertained around the dinner table? I'm not used to entertaining more than one.

    Really good easy dummy steriliser

Just wanted to recommend this dummy steriliser we've had for a while now. Got sick of using my big one and having it on my kitchen counter all the time as don't plan on using bottles til I return to work. It's great! All you do is measure the water in the lid then tip it into the base, pop it...

My son is trying to kill himself!

Lewis keeps dragging his fleece blanket up over his face, and if a scrap of the blankie is next to his head he nuzzles his face into it even if he's sucking on a dummy so he's not trying to eat it lol. A few hours ago he was laying there with his dummy tossing and turning, so I loosely threw a...
