Not a dumb question. My name is Jo. I have a big tattoo of a lotus flower on my side, hence my signing name, people had usernames involving my name and surname (Fox)
I do think Lotus is a beautiful name though. It symbolises purity in the buddist religion. They only grow on Lily ponds and when the open up they are said to point towards the heavens.
