i just thought i would give everyone a few tips and ideas to think about when shopping for a pushchair or pram.

please think of the practicality when buying your 1st pram,

i bought a prammette (mamas and papas) for charlottes 1st pram 5 years ago. the type that you have a chasie and put the pram onto it, then take it off to put the carry cot or car seat. these prams usually look lovely, but are pretty heavy and are a pain to change over the seating, also they are quite bulky to colapse if you have a small boot or small storage place at home. also where can you put your carrier bags when shopping, handles in my opinion are a definate must have! here is my old one

we then had mamas and papas stroller this pram was amazing collapsed like a buggy but was sturdy and lasted ages (i bought it 2nd hand) and it wasnt in the best of conditions when we bought it and that was the only reason we got rid of it infact ive based this new babys pram on this pram becasue it was so practical and lightweight. i cant find my old pram but this is my new one the old one was the same style without the car seat

the final pram i had was a stroller it was useless,, the break was situated in the most stupid place. whoever designed this pram obviously had never used a pram before, you couldnt bump the pram up steps because the break would snap on. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... :WNA:UK:12 scroll down to bottom pictures and its the 2nd top picture, these breaks would lock if you were bumping it up steps..

please be aware of the break when you are going to buy a pram, dont go for the one that looks the best! wait in the store plan to spend a good hour if not more and then go and shop around, ask the assistant to collaps the pram and show you how to take the bits appart how the rain cover goes on and then ask yourself is this practical for me? will it fit in my car? hallway? how long can the baby realistically stay in here for and is it sturdy enough to last.

i hope this given you mums and dads to be some tips on what to look out for.
