    bath toys yucky problem

I use the hottest water I can stand with a drop of disinfectant in and fill them up with this and leave for a while, them wash them in hot soapy water, all the sludge squirts out quite easily then. Also I think if you try and empty them after a bath they dont get as sludgy but I never remember :D

    tummy time

Eva hated it too for the first 7 months she just snogged the carpet or yelled at us  She got the hang eventually once she could roll and push up high enough to be comfortable and look around. You could try putting a flattish cushion under your LOs tummy to prop them up a bit, and...

    Dressing your LO..

Layers definately, also I think its better for babies to be a little cool than overheating them, fleece fabric in particular can be quite sweaty and so many blankets and jackets are made of this. I used to have a few cotton cellular blankets when she was small and layer them on her in her...

Has anyone been to baby Sensory Classes

YES! these classes are sooooooo fab! Eva has been going since she was 11 weeks and LOVES it! I did wonder for the first few if she was actually getting anything out of it but they made me feel good that I was doing something with her and gave me ideas of stuff to try at home. Now of course she...

    swimming

We have a baby wetsuit for Eva which gives you a bit longer in the pool before its too cold, we never bothered with a float either. Eva is really confident in the water now - we have been going since she was about 3 months old too, she kicks her legs and flaps her arms now too like she wants to...

how long should she be feedng?

Really dont worry about the clock hun, I was obsessed with how long Eva fed for when she was tiny as the midwives told me she should be going for 15-20 mins, but she has always been super efficient and generally is done after 5 minutes on one side and her weight gain has been fine. Just feed on...

    My milk has gone!!

Get scoffing some oats hun and drink loads and try and get some rest, your bod will catch up. It takes me a couple of days when Eva has a growth spurt to feel 'full' again, but I worry I havent enough in the meantime too, but there always is - she just has to work harder to get it...

    Breastfed babies and 'follow-on' formulas

Anyone with breastfed babies given them follow on milks for any reason? I am having problems keeping Eva asleep at night and wondering if she is just not feeling full enough, I think my supply has dropped quite a bit recently so thinking she might not be getting enough at her bedtime...
