    Hiccups

My god, I hate hiccups. They are driving me insane! They're not like normal hiccups, there's no *hic* with them, just the motion. Almost constant for the past fortnight or so. Fingers crossed they go soon as I'm in a show in a few weeks and I can't hiccup my way through my lines!

    Sleep positions

I'm 16 weeks and I'm tending to sleep on my back at the moment. Find it the most comfortable. Although when I wake up I'm usually on my right. I guess it's however you feel comfortable in the great scheme of things.

    Magic names

I'm still going with Lily and James at the minute. Got no idea for middle names though. I have a middle name which is my Mum's maiden name. but I really don't want to do that to this little one. And my partner doesn't have a middle name, so we've no inspiration coming from that direction either...

    Magic names

Lily is a family name on my side, TBH I was going to be Lily myself, but it went out the window when Mum and Dad disagreed. James, on the other hand, I just like. No doubt I'll change my mind god knows how many times between now and then!

    12 week scan

Thanks. My partner thinks its a boy too and so do a few people we've shown the scan photo to. I'm sitting on the fence for now...I'm just glad everything seems to be going ok.

    12 week scan

Well, more like a 14 week scan really by the time they booked my appointment. First baby so everything is new and exciting to me, and when I saw the screen all I could say was...'wow'. All my partner could do was stare at the screen. I think it's finally hit him! Neither of us could get over...

    Magic names

Now I've had my 12 week scan I feel a bit more comfortable thinking about names. As we have a long surname we're leaning towards shorter first names. I like Lily for a girl and James for a boy. Then I had someone point out to me that these are the names of Harry Potters parents. I am not a...

    So very tired

OK, am I supposed to be this tired?! For the past few days I can't stop yawning and all I want to do is sleep. It's giving me headaches as I try to fight it and feel like a total zombie. I'm dreading tonight when the clocks go forward 'cos I'm going to be doing a full days work tomorrow on...

To work or not to work?

You're right. I know you're right. All of my instincts point towards being a stay at home Mum. If I was in a different job, I could do the maternity leave and then return, butdue to the nature of the job I do, its just not going to work. Breaking it down even more, we live approximately two...

To work or not to work?

OK, work dilemma. I currently do weekend cover in a hotel. This means I live in two nights a week. I get a minimal amount, and TBH I'm wondering whether it's worth cutting my losses and living off my parters income. I've not looked into the financial aspect yet, and what I'd be entitled to...

Yep, there's definitely one in there

Well, I suppose I should technically be posting in this bit now. I went to the doctors on Monday, after a positive home test on Saturday. She did some sums and my due date is 31 October. Oh yes, halloween. I'm not having a baby...I'm having a gremlin! Anyway, she sent me for a blood test for...

    Hi folks

I'm here again. I only tend to get on the 'net while I'm at work y'see, so I'm afraid it's not going to be a daily drop in for me. I'm having a panic regarding finances just now, but I'll go post that elsewhere for a spot of advice!

    Hi folks

Thank you. I'm doing OK this morning...beginning to get my head round the idea a bit more. Partner and I spoke lots and lots when he got home from work yesterday. We're both very happy, so just see what the trip to the doctors brings now. I should really stop reading the 'net now and go to...

    Hi folks

OK...well I'm here. Don't really know what I'm doing, but here goes. Erm...hello... I'm 33, and had a positive test this morning. This is my first time, so I haven't got the foggiest what to do next, but I'm making a doctors appointment on Monday and taking it from there. I've read SO...
