Can't imagine that they have a waiting list as they have no idea when anyone will go into labour
Most hospitals have birthing pools that work on a first come first served basis
I got Harry an all in one outfit to wear from mothercare just as an added later as they can get cold so the extra layer is good.
When we went I got myself ready at home and put my clothes on top and did the same for Harry (wasn't sure on facilities and how I'd manage so wanted to be as...
She did also say that when they start thrashing their arms and legs about (which he loves doing at the mo!) they can burn more energy off.
I guess it's a bit of the dilemma of BF that you don't know how much they're getting xx
Thanks ladies
Have you tried sitting him in the bath empty then filling it up so he could get used to the water?
Could also just try taking him to the pool without lessons to see what he thinks
So can't decide if I'm upset or not!
Harry is 12 weeks on thurs so has him weighed this morning -he's 14lb 10oz but he's dropped another centile to the 75th
Had a food chat to the HV who basically said not to worry too much, they do find with babies that are big at birth do drop centiles as...
Talia I went to a baby group for the first time last week and Harry is nearly 3 months
It was hard to do but I know it'll be worth it as they were nice
Even if you just give it a go, it's worth it xx
Just something to think about - sorry if you've already factored it in but at that wage you'll be on 40% tax.

When my pay went up to take me into higher tax band I didn't end up with much more xx
Hard...
We used to try the floppy arm test. I'd let Harry fall asleep on me then give it a good 10 mins
Then we'd pick up one arm and let it go- if it dropped like a dead weight and was floppy you know they are asleep.
Don't forget he spent 9 months safe and warm in you and the world outside of his...
I'd say what the others have. At one week old your baby still has no idea about night and day and is still trying to figure out their surroundings!!
that's why baby will wake through the night. Also their stomach is still very small hence why they feed so often
Just relax and enjoy time with...
The milk is always there hun as it constantly replenishes- even when I express with my electric pump I can think its all gone but Harry will still feed from the same boob xx
