Bedford - Maternity Care

Went to see the GP tonight to announce my pregnancy.

Was very chilled out and he said he would refer me to the maternity unit and just to wait for something to come through in the post.

I didn't even get a booklet or pamphlet? Is this normal - will everything come at my midwife appointments?

My sister said that in Kettering (Northampton) she had a huge pack as soon as she told the doctor with loads of forms to fill in and they made a midwife appointment for her straight away at the GP's.

i think everywhere seems to be different, i had my booking in appointment and the midwife filled all the forms in there n then n then gave me the bounty pack xx
