a company who do good deals on professional photos? I want to get some done of Amber and also a few pics of the 3 of us but don't want to pay too much as money is a bit tight at the moment. Would be grateful for any recommendations!

Have you thought of asking in any local art colleges, etc.

You might find a photography student or something who has access to a studio, etc. who might do a set for a reasonable price. I know a friend who got some really nice photos of her and her partner for next to nothing, the deal was that the student could use the photos as examples of his work in his portfolio.

Might be worth a shot

We've only ever used the Pixiphoto people at mothercare as we got the free vouchers, only trouble is we ended up buying a load of photos because they were so good but they weren't cheap

1 - 4 photos = £30 each
5 - 9 photos = £20 each
10+ = £15 each

The girl up here who did ours was brilliant though, allowed us to suggest poses, etc. and you could have family members in the photos too, not just baby.
