Right, the main ones I can find are the AVENT Isis and the Medela Swing electric breast pump. Both are priced about the same (approx £90).

Anyone got any recommendations / other makes?

I definitely want an electric one, and plan to combine breast feeding with expressing (that's the plan anyway!!).

Thanks in advance!

my midwife is always banging on about the avent isis (she does have a young kid of her own). i didnt bf though i didnt try it out. not much use really am i?!

i would go with one that has adjustable suction..i have snow bear.. had it off ebay..not used it yet.. coz im still preg.. but u can have it on strong o whatevr u need it on.. friend of mine had sore niples from one not having adjustable suction on.

I have the madela swing ..i won it before LO was born :cheer:

i haven't got any experience of any other make but madela is what they use at our hosp. i have never had any rpobs with it causing me pain and would recommend
