Hi,
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but I was wondering if anyone knows anything about making a remedy out of my placenta?
Has anyone done this and do you think that it has been beneficial?

remedy? for what?
do you mean like using it to boost your iron and immune system or something. i thought ppl just ate it like either as a smoothie or cooked it like liver..

You might find more info and ideas on the natural mamas website or forum. I found these threads that might be of interest to you http://www.naturalmamas.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=134525&highlight=Placenta+remedy

It's supposed to be really good for post partum bleeding and baby blues. Don't think I could do it raw or in a smoothie Im a veggie so would really struggle! but I would consider dried and encapsulated! My placenta was small and crap with DS though and he was prem because of it so I doubt it would have done me any good!

Thanks, my MIL practicices homopathy and really wants to make a remedy from my placenta, apparantly you preserve it in alcohol and then make drops and use it yourself and give to baby if you are ill.
I'm reluctant because it makes me a bit squemish thinking about it but also because of the alcohol, surely that can't be good for baby!
Just wondered what everyone thought.

Maybe go down the dried route instead? Could your MIL do something that way?

i saw a programme and it seems like smoothies or drying it n grinding into pills are the easiest ways to use it
