hi im not sure where i was spose to put this so ill ask the mummies,

i dye my hair often but i was wondering if theres going to be any problems with dying my hair during pregnancy, as i got told that i couldnt?

thanks if you can help me =]
:)

There shouldn't be a problem, although pregnancy can make your hair react differently to dye. If you are worried, you may want to avoid it just in the first trimester (that's what it says in my book!) but think about all those hairdressers that work throughout their pregnancy!

You can colour your hair no problems as long as you go darker if you have highlights they mustnt touch the roots, if its an all over bleach ... well look forward to some fabulous roots as its a big no no hun

I had mine highlighted when pregnant and they went right to the roots!!
i asked my midwife first and she said that its a old wives tail that you cant have your hair dyed and that the only thing is it may react differently to the dye than normally.

Hi, im a hairdresser!
Its ok to dye your hair, like people said tho it can react.
The best thing to do is, do a stand test first to make sure, or a skin test.
Personally id do both just to be sure.
Ive been dying mine throughout the pregnancy, and its been fine.

I had mine coloured all through pregnancy and had no problems at all :D
