Well girls I feel highly privileged to be doing this labour thread :D
Samsmum has just text me to say that she's gone into labour. Positive thoughts her way that she gets the home birth she's hoping for.
Excitement :yay: will keep you posted :dust:
Got a text whilst driving.......
Baby...
God I'm thick I'm making my own food for Cameron - batch cooking today.
I was gonna do him bolognese sauce with pasta and blend it a bit for him. I make my own sauce so was keeping it very simple and make it with mince beef. Can he even have minced beef?? I don't even know!! :wall:
First off please don't let this turn into a weaning punch-up session..... :oooo:
I want to do a mixture of tw and blw, anyone doing it?
I'll admit blw scares me a bit as I'm not in control of it but has to start somewhere I guess..... I'm thinking soft fruit?
Do you even mash anything for them?
Well...... Even though I'm not due back at work til January I was at a loose end for 10 mins so I decided to pop in to the nursery that I'm considering sending l/o to.
The manager showed me round there and then and it looked pretty fab tbh.
I told them I only wanted to send him one day per week...
How does your l/o like to be entertained? Cam adores his playmat but I feel awful leaving him on it all the time but surely it's ok if he enjoys it and it stimulates him? It's in front of the tv so sometimes he does have a sneaky glimpse of some bright colours on the screen. He isn't really big...
L/o currently only lasts 2.5hrs between feeds and therefore has 6x 7 oz bottles per day. Up until Monday it was only 5 but he's not satisfied with that now. I thought it was because he needed to start with weaning, but even with the puree food he still wants the additional bottle  up...
L/o has tried one sachet and it's gone down well :) my question is how much do you give in one sitting? He only has a few mouthfuls to satisfy him as he doesn't seem to be lasting out between bottle feeds anymore (had to give up bf a couple of weeks ago due to his dairy/lactose/to be confirmed...
So new mummies.....
Who thinks their o/h's will do the right thing and spoil you rotten like you deserve? Secondly, what is your plan of action if they are an epic failure and don't acknowledge it?
All day all l/o has done is sleep or feed or cry. He's just turned 12 weeks, does it sound like a growth spurt? Or should I be worried? He's only been awake for maybe 3 hours today in total :eh:
I'm so cross with myself :brat: I lost one of the harness shoulder pads for the car seat. Does anyone know of anywhere to get replacement ones? Can't see any on maxi cosi website and I went into mothercare today who were crap and said they don't sell the shoulder pads separately. Surely these...
Cam's chewing his fists a lot at the moment and HV reckons he's teething  he's also had some monster pooey nappies that have upset him quite a lot. Is he not a bit young????
I don't bath l/o every day. Normally every other day. It wakes him up so when he has one it tends to be in the afternoon and not at night. But then he whinges for a couple of hours before he'll go down for the night :eh:
O/h thinks I should bath him every night at the same time to get him used...
It seems my boy has a heart murmur :( anyone else's lo's had this? He has to see the paediatrician again next month and if they are still concerned he'll be referred to a cardiologist  my poor wee man :(
I don't know why but Cameron's doing this big time!! Im not sure if he's being lazy and not latching on properly but I can actually hear him sucking in air when he's feeding from me and then it rumbling round his belly afterwards. He's difficult to wind and suffers badly from belly ache anyway...
For the support and banter and love throughout tri 3 and my pregnancy as a whole. I know tri 3 was a bit turbulent with 3 labour watches for me in total  but you all helped to keep me sane I swear!!
Special love n thanks to my fabby bump buddy positivity who really had her work cut out...
